3-day Strategies for Brilliant Watercolors Workshop. Friday–Sunday, July 16–18, 2010; 9AM—4PM (Santa Fe, NM). For information, directions, and sign up, please email me. This will be an open-subject workshop focusing on discovering best stategies for the subject at hand. The workshop will be held at the Santa Fe Girls School. 3- and 2-day Exciting, Colorful Portraits Workshop. Part I: Friday–Sunday, July 30–August 1, 2010; Part II: Tuesday–Wednesday, August 3–4, 2010: 9AM—4PM (Santa Fe, NM). Take either, or both workshops. For information, directions, and sign up, please email me. We'll be working from a combination of photos (3-day Part I) and live, costumed models (2-day Part II). The workshop will be held at the Santa Fe Girls School. Learn to approach portraits by understanding how to build shapes related to facial features, proportions and lighting. Then let loose with

Recent Awards, Shows, Publications:
  National Watercolor Society All-member Show. May 17– June 27, 2009. Opening reception/Grand Opening, Saturday, May 17; 2-5 PM at the newly renovated NWS building in San Pedro, CA. First show ever in the NWS building!
Winner of the Creativity Workshop Challenge, Northlight Books, February '09 issue of Watercolor Artist for her painting “Poppies”.
New Mexico Watercolor Society Fall Exhibition 2009. October 10–31, 2009. Fine Arts Expo Building, EXPO New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM. Two of my paintings were on display. “What Birdseed Becomes” won the Jack Richeson Merchandise Award.
Show + demo at the Hilligoss Gallery on Michigan Ave. in Chicago. November 9th to 21st, 2007. Jeanne demonstrated painting a watercolor portrait from a live model prior to the Artists Reception on Saturday the 10th.
Ms Hyland has her Playboy Roses painting featured in a current edition of: How Did You Paint That? 100 Ways to Paint Still Lifes and Florals, Vol II from International Artist Magazine publishers. Published in early ’05.
